Our book-themed cruises are unique travel experience designed for readers who love fantasy and real-life adventure! Each sailing is timed to celebrate the release of a new book, and is complete with themed activities, book discussions or quiet group reading, and plenty of time to relax and explore beautiful destinations. 

No, these cruises are independently organized. While we based our themes on popular books, we are not directly affiliated with the authors, publishers, or cruise lines. We are an independent travel agency that just loves fantasy and wants to experience a spin on the old-school "book club". 

Author participation is not guaranteed unless explicitly mentioned in the cruise details. If an author is involved, we will highlight it on the event page. 

Each cruise has a dedicated page with details on cabin options, pricing, and how to reserve your spot. Simply follow the instructions to book online or contact us for assisstance. 

Yes! Many cruise lines offer flexible payment plans. Specific options will be outlined on each cruise's booking page, and will be communicated to you in your confirmation. 

Cruise fares typically include accommodations, meals, onboard entertainment, and many activities. Additional costs may apply for excursions, specialty dining, and drinks. Specific details will be included in your confirmation. Additionally, as a "Bookish Cruise" sailor, you will receive unique swag related to your book and your sailing!

Passport requirements depend on the cruise's departure and destination. U.S. citizens sailing from U.S. ports on closed-loop cruises (starting and ending at the same U.S. port) may use a birth certifcate and government-issued photo ID. However, a passport can help expedite embarkation and disembarkation, and may provide peace of mind if you plan to explore any foreign ports! 

Each cruise will feature activities inspired by the book theme, such as: book club discussions, themed parties and costume nights, trivia and games, meetups with fellow book lovers, optional excursions that match the book's setting (if available). 

Not at all! The timing of these cruises is intended to coincide with the release of the book, and provide you with the opportunity to read the book for the first time amongst friends. We suggest preordering books, as many sailings can take place quite close to the release date, and we may not have additional copies onboard to share.
